10 GB Communication & Control Card

The 10 GB Communication & Control Card controls timing of the ADC Boards in the system, collects data from the serial LVDS inputs, forms UDP packets and sends them to the DAQ PC on the 10 Gbit Ethernet XFP output line. Additionally it provides a parallel data interface (PDI) for programming both the ADC Boards and the APDCAM control card. Data to/from the parallel port is also transmitted in UDP packets to/from the DAQ PC.

Fusion Instruments APDCAM-10G

The 10 GB Communication & Control Card was developed for the APDCAM-10G Avalanche Photodiode Camera. APDCAM-10G like its predessor uses up to 4 Hamamatsu S8550 4×8 pixel Avalanche Photodiode (APD) arrays where all 32-128 pixels have their individual low noise analog amplifiers and digitizers. The output data appears as 32-128 digitals signals on a 10G optical Ethernet connection. Control is done using the same Ethernet interface.
